Next Board Meeting: Tuesday October 21, 3-5 pm at the Bay Club
The Port Ludlow Village Council is excited to announce its First Annual Canine Costume Contest to be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Just in time for Halloween, the fun will kick off at the Port Ludlow Marina located at 1 Gull Drive from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with the dog parade starting at 12:00 pm. Dog owners will dress their canines in amazing, comfortable costumes and follow a short parade route around the Marina, led by a Grand Marshall. Our esteemed judges will select a winner for each of the costume categories: Spookiest, Funniest, Most Creative, Double Trouble (2 dogs), and Best Duo/Trio (owners and dogs in costumes). At least one prize will be awarded in each category. Dogs must have up-to-date rabies vaccinations to participate.
For all other pets, or dogs too shy for the parade there will also be an online pet photo contest prior to the event, in which any type of pet may be entered. The community will vote online for the People’s Choice Award and the winner of the best pet photo will be announced at the parade.
Parade registration will also be available on the day of the event.
This free community-wide event is generating enthusiasm and more information about vendors and sponsors will follow. Even if you are not participating in the contest, come out and enjoy the event, stop by our famous bake sale table, listen to the Stringalongs, or visit the animal shelter representatives who will be on site.

The Port Ludlow Village Council (PLVC) and its Social Wellness Committee understands how all-consuming some volunteer opportunities become, even unintentionally!
Therefore, all we ask is that you provide your email contact info and agree to receive an email from the Social Wellness Committee, when we have an upcoming event/activity and need occasional volunteers. If you are unable to, then no need to reply to the email. Only reply if you can commit to take on a specific task/timeslot, e.g. a 2-hour: set up or break-down monitor at an event, assist with traffic-flow/parking control at an event, staff a sales table etc.
Our goal is to create more whole community events and we cannot do it without occasional volunteer help. You might take one shift at one event a year, or maybe none this year but possibly next year, the point is that you simply agree to be asked, and if you are able to give any amount of assistance to these events, then you are so appreciated because these events will not be possible without occasional volunteer assistance.
Sign up to add your name to the Social Event Volunteer database!
Your information will not be shared with anyone else or used for any other purpose.

The Port Ludlow Village Council (PLVC) and its Social Wellness Committee would like to WELCOME you to your new residence in Port Ludlow’s Master Planned Resort (MPR).
When you have moved somewhere new, making social connections, especially beyond your immediate neighborhood can be challenging. The WELCOME team is made up from Social Wellness Committee volunteers that are also relative newcomers, so we understand how you might be feeling and we want to extend the hand of friendship as you settle into your new home.
