In a community of 2,500 mostly retired residents, true confidence comes from knowing we’re prepared. We live in a region where earthquakes, wildfires, and other major events are inevitable over time, and acknowledging that reality allows us to respond with calm, practical readiness. The Port Ludlow Village Council Emergency Committee (PLVC EC) is hard at work to help every household feel informed, supported, and connected well before any emergency occurs. When we prepare together, we replace uncertainty with a steady sense of confidence.
We invite all residents to learn more about our mission and how you can participate. On September 17 at 4:00 PM at the Bay Club, we will host a community presentation to describe our planning, explain our existing communications network, and answer questions. There is a paving project going on that week so there may be a short delay as you approach the building. Whether you’re curious about our preparations for an emergency, communications plans, or simply want to meet the volunteers working behind the scenes, your presence strengthens our collective resilience. Preparedness is a community activity. It grows when we show up for one another, and even small levels of involvement make a meaningful difference. We hope to see you there.
The Port Ludlow Village Council was established in 1999 under the Washington Nonprofit Corporations Act to act as a representative body for the residents of the Port Ludlow Master Planned Resort Community. The Village Council is dedicated to its vision of a vibrant, sustainable Port Ludlow and its mission to protect, preserve, promote and unify the community for the enjoyment and well-being of all its citizens in our Village in the Woods by the Bay. While we are not a government entity, our Board of Directors is elected by the voting residents of the community. Each year, volunteers spend thousands of hours working on committees to make Port Ludlow a truly amazing place.
